Parts of Cowboy Poetry feel like a British pub (complete with a cool Italian globe bar and leather armchairs), while other parts carry unique references to the 1850s building that the home is located in. Both Masculine and Scandinavian, Cowboy Poetry has a lot to offer, especially in terms of its appealing location in posh Frederiksberg. Even though the home doesn’t have a coherent design aesthetic, it’s clear to see that it’s a treasured home with plenty of character.

Split across two levels with a wooden ladder connecting the two, this two-bedroom home is ideal for younger travellers looking to be right in the centre of Copenhagen. Even though it lacks in entertainment options, you’ll not have to worry about finding things to do because The Conrad is situated in a repurposed office building on top of Strøget, Copenhagen’s busiest shopping street.

Danish Geography is a ravishing home with a blend of mesmerising colours and textures. It’s got a traditional-meets-modern feel with beautiful wood panelling, Beni Ourain-style rugs and a lot of knickknacks from contemporary Danish brands. The bathroom is quite a character - not only does it come with plenty of plants, but it also invites you to slow down and relax.

Doing Good is right in the centre of Copenhagen (Strøget is next door, Kongens Have is two minutes away), and you’re surrounded by an abundance of delicious eateries. It doesn’t have that lived-in charm, but it’s well-designed, serves its purpose and comes with some quirky features and bold uses of colour. We also love the industrial-style windows that bridge the gap between private and communal spaces – they’re even decorated with heavy, velvety curtains that can be drawn for privacy.

Parallelogram is sophisticated in that Scandi chic way that we just love. It elegantly blends wooden furniture, green plants and photos taken by the host himself to form a modern minimalist home with plenty of charm. You are a five-minute walk from Nyhavn and all of its cultural attractions. If you feel like experiencing the city in a different way, you can also sit down on the sunny balcony with a cup of coffee and watch Copenhageners go about their day.

There’s something very Scandinavian about Magical Realism – and yet, it’s not Scandinavian at all. The use of colour is bold and not something we see often in Copenhagen, but the references to nature through materials, textures and the more downplayed hues remind us of Scandinavian forests and fjords. It’s right in the heart of Copenhagen, so you won’t have to walk far to experience Nyhavn, Kongens Nytorv or Strøget – a downside to its central location is that it might get noisy at night.

Diagonals might not be the cosiest of flats we have ever seen, but it has a few unique features that we really like. The sloped ceilings create a warm atmosphere, and the orange shag rugs are a lot of fun and add some spice to this minimalist home. And let’s not forget about the incredible location. You’re right in the heart of Copenhagen’s Latin Quarter, so you’ve got plenty of homely cafés around - and you’re close to Strøget too.

Elegant, yet relaxed, Meet Me in the Kitchen is a little tranquil oasis in Copenhagen’s Latin Quarter. With its cosy hideout in the kitchen, charming piano and stylish daybeds, perfect for some serious daydreaming, this two-bedroom apartment is a down-to-earth family home. Each room is beautiful, but we can’t help but love the terrazzo-tiled bathroom with a gorgeous bathtub and plenty of plants that inspires a sense of everyday luxuriousness.

Featured in numerous architecture and interior design magazines, The Apollo really is something special. The house itself dates back to 1876 and is a classic example of the historicist townhouses that line the streets of Kartoffelrækkerne, but the inside is unlike something you would ever expect. With its futuristic impression, skylight windows and minimalist style, this three-bedroom home merges new and old in an extraordinary and mesmerising way.

Part Lego-lovers dream, part tribute to classic Danish design, From Legoland With Love is a little bit of everything. We absolutely love how the host has paired the iconic Corona chair with more playful elements and colours for a charming and adventurous feel. Nestled in between Carlsbergbyen and the outskirts of trendy Vesterbro, you’re also in a calm, residential neighbourhood that’s well-connected to the rest of the city. 

From Legoland with Love

This fabulous two-bedroom is located right in the heart of Copenhagen, with lots of great sights, shops, and restaurants within easy walking distance. It's located up in the eaves of the building, so there are some sloping ceilings and stairs to contend with, but it's utterly delightful and brimming with period character. The living room is absolutely delightful, lots of natural light, wood beams, cosy low-level lighting and floorboards of dreams.

The Close-Up is on the small side, but it’s got lots of cool decorative elements, striking colour combinations, and sleek white floors. Located in a quiet backyard to a street packed with beautiful classicist and Rococo architecture, this studio home’s revamped interiors feel like a modern hideaway in a historic part of Copenhagen. The kitchen is basic and not suitable for cooking elaborate meals, but who says you even have to cook when you’re close to gems like Bistro Royal, Geist and Havfruen.

Magical Impressionism reinterprets old Copenhagen in a modern version. Slightly uneven floors and crooked ceilings, it’s the kind of place that makes us feel welcome and piques our curiosity at the same time. While the home doesn’t offer much in terms of entertainment, Copenhagen’s lively Indre By is right on your doorstep – within minutes you could be shopping on Strøget, watching a play at the Royal Theatre or perusing Nyhavn.

Danish Design classics by Arne Jacobsen, Børge Mogensen and Louis Poulsen in a captivating red-orange colour palette blend with green banana palm trees, curated artworks, African masks and statues for a spectacular atmosphere. We love how Mid-Century Savanna is a love letter to Danish design and African art, merging the best of both worlds to form something new and rare. As if that isn't enough, the Hästens beds are super luxurious, there’s a huge rooftop terrace with views of Copenhagen's copper-clad roofs, and you’re in a location that’s so central that it’s hard to beat.

On the third floor of a beautiful 1870s building, we find Opera Diva. It has expressive interiors with a mix of Scandinavian chic furniture and antique pieces that are paired with some of the host’s own illustrations. And it also comes with a bathtub, which is something we rarely see in Copenhagen. As as an added bonus, one of the most famous Danish opera singers lives next door – and even though she’s retired, you can still hear her practising her singing now and then.

Walking up past the white picket fence of this picturesque, rose-covered house, it's hard not to feel at ease. Inside, it's neat and exquisitely curated – no nook or corner has been left untouched by the host's expert eye for cosiness. An abundance of sheepskin rugs and elegant textiles are a nod to Danish hygge, and the classic PH lamps, Børge Mogensen sofa and Arne Jacobsen chairs are very sophisticated. Situated in sought after micro-neighbourhood – Kartoffelrækkerne – this idyllic area is characterised by pretty terraced townhouses and well-manicured lawns.

With the Queen Margrethe as your next-door neighbour, it’s no wonder that the two-bedroom home has a grandiose and illustrious feel. The combination of the lively colour palette and the contemporary Scandinavian design mixed with lavish textures makes A Royal Affair a one-of-a-kind home that also places you in one of the most central locations in Copenhagen. If you fancy a traditional Danish meal, Nyhavn is just around the corner, but you can also just stay in to take advantage of the picturesque surroundings.

With the host’s avid affinity for posters from Berlin and Cuba and the many colourful and conversational art pieces dotted around the home, there’s nothing ordinary about The Art Collection. Set against the traditional Copenhagen-style backdrop of white-painted walls with romantic stucco decorations in the ceilings and french doors that bridge the gap between private and communal spaces, this four-bedroom home almost feels like a canvas that’s come to life with a mix of old and new, elegant and eclectic.

With Amalienborg next door, the Marble Church across the street, and Designmuseum Denmark further down Bredgade, Alexandrine is in a location that’s hard to beat. While it isn't full of character (the linoleum floors might appear outdated to some), it's a nice place to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. We also like the artworks by local artist Augusta Atla, they're absolutely stunning.

From the exposed brick wall to the typically-soaped wooden floor, the bioethanol fireplace to the gigantic hanging lightbulb, this place manages to effortlessly pull off a great industrial-chic look. Opening the French doors from the bedroom to the balcony, you get a real sense of space and plenty of natural light. If you feel like venturing out, it takes less than twenty minutes to reach the city centre. In true Copenhagen fashion, the bathroom is very small – it's not the kind of place you can relax and unwind after a long day.

Colour Field isn’t the kind of place where you’ll find sets of matching crockery, instead, it’s got a fun collection of colourful mugs and board games. This one-bedroom home definitely isn’t luxurious, but it’s an honest example of a typical Copenhagen apartment with well-maintained herringbone floors, a quiet balcony, and plenty of charm. The immediate neighbourhood is a grittier part of Vesterbro, but it places you within walking distance to the lakes, Kødbyen, and Tivoli.

With its original wooden beams and brick walls, Breakfast at Halmtorvet has a distinct character. We love the sunny communal courtyard that’s great for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Great for younger travellers who don’t mind the sleeping arrangements, this home is also very close to a lot of the cool things Vesterbro and Kødbyen have to offer.

A prototype of Scandinavian minimalism at its best, Modern Origami is sleek in a way that only new builds can be. Arne Jacobsen and Hans J. Wegner chairs mix with concrete surfaces and striking terrazzo finishes in a way that’s so sophisticated we’ll always remember it. Complete with a fitness centre, concierge and Restaurant Silo on the 17th floor, this home oozes modern luxury. It’s not in the liveliest area, but the fabulous views of Copenhagen’s harbour from every corner of this home made us forget about the short S-Train journey to the city centre.

Small but brimming with character, this historic fourth-floor home has tonnes of charming details. We love the exposed wall timbers and creaky wooden floors. The nature of the building comes at a price – climbing up the uneven and low-ceilinged staircase isn’t for the faint-hearted. This is worth it for the silence the distance from the busy street creates, providing a super calm atmosphere, right in the centre of Copenhagen. Parallel to Strøget (the famous shopping street) and Gråbrødretorv, this home is bang in the action.

Copenhagen does not get more central than this. Located right on Strøget, Ice Black is a lovely compact, clean and modern apartment. A beautiful marble bathroom and chic black finishes really make this home feel high end, and the big windows in the living room add a luminous feel. That said, it does verge on feeling like a hotel, so if you’re looking for a proper lived-in home for your stay, this one might not be for you.

Perfect for families (complete with bunk beds and children’s toys), this two-bedroom home sits on a quiet side street to Vesterbrogade. Located in the Vesterbro neighbourhood, it’s surrounded by parks with playgrounds like Enghave Park and is just a twenty-minute walk into the city centre (or a two-minute journey by bus). One of the main highlights of this home is its charming shared courtyard with a playground, seating area and BBQ.

In a beautiful building from 1854, we find Mirage – a stylish one-bedroom home with a minimalist aesthetic and oodles of Copenhagen charm. Yes, it’s small, but it’s elegantly furnished with design classics and a captivating oil painting in bold colours. You’re right in the heart of Copenhagen, so you won’t have to walk long to shop on Strøget or take a stroll in beautiful Kongens Have.

In Denmark, rich and deep blue is associated with the royal family, so it’s only fitting that a home to close to Amalienborg is heavily adorned with the regal colour. The head-turning hue is paired with artworks by local artist, Augusta Atla, and twenty-first-century Danish design by HAY and Sofakompagniet for a take on contemporary Danish style. Even though it’s not luxurious, Emma is well-decorated and feels homely – and you’re in a central location that’s hard to beat.

Favouring heavy, layered and tactile materials, The Tinderbox marries the best of Art Deco-esque textures and minimalism in a Scandinavian setting. The sophisticated stucco detailing in the ceiling takes you back in time, while the modern, industrial-chic kitchen reminds you that you’re in the 21st century. Located right by Kongens Nytorv, you’re about as central as it gets – Strøget is just around the corner, Nyhavn is a 5-minute walk, and there are also plenty of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops nearby.

Beech & Ash's bold and clean design might feel a bit sparse to those who prefer personal touches and a more lived-in feel. The bedrooms have a bright and open feel, however, two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living area. With a view of Strøget (Copenhagen's main pedestrianised shopping area), this home is seriously central, making it a great base for exploring the city by foot.

Packed with fun drawings, and vintage furniture mixed with modern staples, Peinture feels and looks personal. It’s clear to see that this home is loved and cared for – not least when it comes to the decked-out kids' room that’s brimming with toys. The heart of the home is definitely the kitchen where young and old come together, but we also love the window seat in the living room where you can cosy up with a blanket and watch life unfold on the busy streets of Vesterbro.

There’s something unique about Still Life’s ability to combine Arne Jacobsen posters and fragile antiquities like the White Star Line Chest that the hosts picked up in an auction a while back. Some corners look like they’ve come straight out of Versailles, while others are filled with travel memorabilia and retro artworks – and it just works. It goes without saying that you’re in a prime location as this home is one of the colourful homes that line Nyhavn. And since it comes with noise-cancelling windows, you won’t have to worry too much about the lively street below you.

The Viola is a love letter to purple. We find the colour in all shapes and sizes from chairs to tablecloths, violet to lilac in this home. There’s even a purple Arne Jacobsen Swain chair, which is not something we see every day. This three-bedroom home’s got oodles of character and it’s in a great location, too. And we especially love how The Viola isn’t afraid of bright colour or mixing and matching playful elements with Danish design classics.

Extremely central, this first floor flat couldn’t be more conveniently located. Sat on a side street off Strøget (Copenhagen’s main pedestrian shopping centre), you’re right in the action. You enter through an original courtyard once used for horses, providing some seclusion from the street. It is in the middle of everything, but due to its central location, it could get a little noisy at night. 

Slate & Ash

Located a short walk from buzzing Kødbyen, The Good Egg is a typical Copenhagen apartment with lots of charm. Even though it’s not the most unique home in our collection, it has a cool mix of vintage pieces and classic Danish design items. We especially love the superior king-size bed with crisp, high-quality linens, which is definitely not something we see every day in Copenhagen.

What The Comet lacks in personality, it makes up for with its gorgeous views of Axel Towers’ copper-plated architecture. We love how central this home is, and we also love how you can take advantage of its amazing location from the terrace. The Comet’s designed with a monochrome colour palette, touches of sandy tones, and artsy posters that liven up the home in a cool way.

Cinderella’s Twin exudes a kind of tranquillity that’s hard to find in any kind of bustling city. Even though it is an apartment, it feels a little like a castle in the south of France, and every corner tells a different story. Clean Scandinavian lines mix with Spanish-style tiles, stucco detailing on the high ceilings, Moroccan baskets, and olive green walls that are reminiscent of summers in Italy, making this home your golden ticket to a luxurious and stylish stay in the middle of Copenhagen.

Plant Enchant isn’t the swankiest home in our collection, but it’s full of character and really reflects the host’s personality. Filled with antique furniture, art prints and plants, it’s perfect for laid-back souls. We love the cute balcony above a back garden, offering peace and quiet in the centre of Copenhagen. Just off Vesterbrogade (the area’s main shopping street), you can see the lakes from the front door. This home is on the small side, so don’t expect oodles of luxury.

Winsome is a one-bedroom home in trendy Vesterbro. It’s eco-friendly, and the efficient open-plan layout is typical of Copenhagen, especially when it comes to this part of the city. We love how the host’s personality shines through the chic original artworks, unique graphic prints, Danish design furniture, collectibles, green plants and the many, many books on art, philosophy and aesthetic. If you want to experience the authentic Vesterbro vibe, this gallery manager’s well-curated home is the place. 


Winsome

New Nordic is one of those homes that are just so effortlessly sophisticated. As soon as we stepped foot here, we were sold. The amalgamation of well-curated art and industrial-style furniture in a repurposed 1700s shell with lots of charisma makes it a very special place. Even though you’re right in the heart of Copenhagen, it feels like a tranquil haven with lots of space for contemplation. You also can’t go wrong with the charming views of traditional yellow timber-framed houses and copper-clad roofs.
