Reservoir is a slightly different experience to many of the homes we’ve visited, but that’s not to hold anything against it. The living room is a bit small, but that extra space has gone into the bedrooms, each of which has a TV with Netflix, an espresso machine, and an en-suite bathroom.

There’s a lot to like about Ladyship, from the large living room to the original wooden ceiling beams. Even the kitchen, which is in a slightly inconvenient position, is a sight for sore eyes.

With a lovely contrast between the modern, minimalist aesthetic of the flat, and the seventeenth-century palazzo that houses it, Mostarda is an impressive space as soon as you pass the threshold. Everything’s in spotless condition (any marks on the walls would immediately be noticeable) and we also got the feeling from Clementina that she would take any issues with the maintenance seriously, which is always comforting.
