This former coach-house is a tale of two homes. Secluded along a cobbled mews with its original stable doors still intact, the property first gives off a distinctly Dickensian vibe – appropriate, given the nearby Charles Dickens Museum. But all is then slick and contemporary inside, courtesy of open-plan layouts, cool design pieces and Sonos audio speakers. Expect to feel very content and comfy. The location is excellent – very close to Russell Square’s Underground station, and just a trot from the British Museum.

It has some great pubs, and is home to one of London's most-loved street of independent shops and restaurants, the utterly charming Lamb's Conduit Street. The British Museum is on your doorstep and Oxford Circus is a ten minute walk away. Need we say more?
