Vida Verde’s rooftop terrace is fantastic. We’re not going to lie, it doesn’t come with the best of best views, but we like that it’s equipped for having a good time – both summer and winter. The home itself also sets the scene for socialising, whether it’s cooking up a storm in the kitchen or over dinner. The immediate area is incredibly vibrant. Other than boasting several restaurants, coffee shops, and bars, you’ll also find plenty of independent boutiques and cool brunch spots.

Home truths
It’s split across two floors – be prepared for some up and down
The downstairs bathroom was a little tired-looking – the grouting, in particular, could do with some love
Shoreditch is a bustling part of London – it can get noisy at times
We noticed some wear and tear in the kitchen
If you’re a light sleeper that needs blackout curtains, the ones in bedroom two might not do the trick for you

About Shoreditch
Even if you don't end up actually staying here, Shoreditch is a must-see part of London for any visitor. Its mix of filmset-perfect cobbled streets of early Georgian townhouses sit alongside converted warehouses and graffiti murals aplenty. Many of the artist residents who first made the area hip have had to move away on account of rising house prices, but there's still plenty to see and the area is ram-packed full of small galleries, independent boutiques and some of London's coolest bars and restaurants.
