Right around the corner from Ponte Vecchio, it’s hard to imagine a more romantic location than that of Pietra. It would be unfair to focus solely on that, however, as there’s a lot going for the flat in its own right. The exposed ceiling beams and masonry help to ground the flat a sense of its history, while the newly installed kitchen keeps everything practical. The bed on the mezzanine is a bit strange, as the low ceiling and presence of the boiler stop it from being especially comfortable, but it’s useful to have the option to sleep there if necessary.
